Standard Conditions

  1. All food and beverage prices quoted are valid for 30 days from date send and include VAT.

  2. Menu prices do not include costs of additional equipment hire usually associated with functions of 50 people and more (eg.  Marquee, linen, tables & chairs)

  3. To ensure efficient service, we request that menus are specified to include any allergies, vegetarians or other food preferences not catered for on our menu at least 72 hours before the function.

  4.  Please be aware that main courses normally have a preparation time of approximately 20-30 min.

  5.  A corkage fee of R15 will be charged on all wine and sparkling wine brought onto our premises.

  6. No other beverages may be brought along unless prior arrangement has been made with our function co-ordinator.

  7. For groups larger than 8 persons a service charge of 10% will be added to the final bill, calculated on the total amount (excluding hiring costs)

  8. For evening functions or lunch functions (only the exclusive use of venue), a venue hire will be charged as followed:

    Restaurant, Lawn and Island                                           – R800.00
    Weddings (less than 50 people)                                      – R1500.00
    Weddings (more than 50 people)                                     – R2000.00

    Bookings will be considered confirmed only once a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the food
    account is paid and this Condition sheet signed and returned to the Restaurant.

  9.  Dates are not reserved on verbal agreement only!

  10. The restaurant may cancel bookings not confirmed within two weeks of function date.

  11. A cancellation fee may be charged should a function be cancelled after confirmation.

  12. We do not have an account facility and the balance must be settled at the end of the function. We accept cash and credit cards. Bank transfers by prior arrangement only.

  13. NO CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED

  15. All evening functions will terminate at 24h00 (terminate denotes the bar closes and music ceases). The premises are to be evacuated 30 min later. A fee of R350 per hour or part thereof would be charged exceeding the closing time!!

  16.  The customer shall except liability for any damage or breakage caused to the venue, furnishings, utensils or equipment therein by neglect or default by the customer and their guests.

  17. We reserve the right to object to the employment of sub-contractors or guests in connection with a function.

  18. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any booking without liability in event of damage to or destruction of the venue, labour unrest, shortage of suppliers, lockouts or any other cause beyond our control.
